Does Anyone Else Notice That TF2 Takes a While to... "Warm Up"?

Yeah, it's probably RAM. I only have 512 MB, and I thought things moved quickly, lol.

I had 512 RAM, and there was framerate lag when I joined a server, EVERYTIME. I couldn't even Alt Tab without having lag when I got in the game again. I upgraded to 1,5 GB and it's smooth again. So like everyone is saying: RAM.

Mine loads fine (look at sustem specs)
although the first server I join when I boot up the game always disconnects me =\
So basically I have to join any server, wait for the "Sending Client info..." status thing to come up, click cancel and join a new one.
