You wouldn't happen to have any sample code? I get changing simple values like ammo count, grenades, amount of deaths. However I don't understand how to get information like player position. I've been using Patrick's tutorial and my limited knowledge of VB.net. I hope to catch on pretty quickly as I've always had Ideas that I've wanted to see. Shadowrun style teleporting being one of them, even though it'd just work in campaign or selfhosted games.

You need to think of a way, of eliminating out all of the addresses that are not the players position. Moving the player between searches, not moving but shooting/throwing grenades etc.Quote:

I have one theory... All redeemable codes in Xbox Live Marketplace (and for that matter, any redeem key, serial code, or CD key by Microsoft) are 25 characters. I'm thinking that the CD keys may be a redeemable code that you use to unlock whatever this flair is. I'll probably be doing it on day 1, to make sure no one else can steal it for themselves.

The keygen I was originally worried about appears to be fake, with just a couple baked-in keys that it randomly picks from.
If there really isn't a working keygen that allows you to play online (not just install the game, which is "easy" to make keys to do) then I can lift the May 26th cutoff and allow all keys including new ones.
So I'll ask you: does anyone know of a real Halo PC keygen? If you do, don't post the link here (duh), and if you don't, don't respond because a million "no" messages won't help me.

Just look at all the keys being used on 1.00, see how many are being repeated at least twice, and take them off the list for something usable.
It's possible to do that, right? (looking at just one version of CE?)
IMO, it would be better to keep the cutoff date than have a flood of newfags go out and buy Halo PC just so they can get a flair ingame.

If it was so goatdamn easy ("not that difficult") to create a keygen then why, in the last 6 or 7 years now, has no one done it for a game which still logs 50k unique players a month?

Isn't it just much much much easier to crack a software license directly than reverse-engineer a key algorithm? Plus, whatever key you generate can eventually be blacklisted by the software publisher, if online activation and verification is involved. Those have to be factors in the rarity of actual, working keygens in this day and age.
I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this but maybe the halo pc key is used for a beta for Halo Reach PC? Please don't facepalm me....

FF Voice: Carter or Buck, not sure.

Also firefight voice will be Stacker as well, seeing as how is probably one of my favorite characters throughout the games.

Man, I'm just going to go default on my first playthrough, worry about customisation later.
I cannot contribute to the above conversation due to there being extremely vague game spoilers. :P So vague it doesn't really matter, but I'm determined to be totally surprised, even by Stacker's dialogue. I can say though that I'll be rocking the HPC logo. I don't care if a bunch of 12 year olds are going to buy it just to use it, I've spent a hell of a lot of time in this engine, and I plan to show that off.
