This just came out today.
SOPA and Rep. Lamar Smith
Bigots and tyrants. :v:
The forging of The American Empire continues.
Since you all seemed so concerned. The only thing they think is wrong is the DNS editing :P because, y'know, that would do so much to stop me anyways.
Is the mighty Modacity going black tomorrow!?!??!? I think this very influential website could give the strike the extra boost it needs!
:caruso:
If only Google would go black, so people would have to use shit like bing.
Hopefully they'll at least do something such as put up a special logo and link to some info about it. Is there any word about anything like that?
They already got a logo and message/petition set up right now.

EDIT: Holy shit, even 4chan is censoring themselves. 4chan. Censoring themselves.
All of my websites are down so I can't procrastinate properly
Well MS is under "opposing" but so's GoDaddy so perhaps they changed their mind?

I don't think MS ever actually supported sopa. from what I hear they silently opposed.

I would like to congratulate Anonymous yesterday by simultaneously taking down several major websites being used by the government as well as heavy SOPA supporters. As well as to everyone who bitched to congress, I know I did. This was probably one of the most venomous outcries the internet has ever done.
You really think Anonymous was helping anything? Common sense and reason prevailed, not cyber-shananigans. You don't get your point across through provocation and if Anonymous were the only opposition to the bill, it would have passed out of sheer spite.
Of course they didn't help. It was still funny as hell though.
people who proposed this are still in office, it's not over yet. write angry letters to/about them, raise awareness for when they try pass this shit again in a year or three
So.... what about ACTA? Isn't it getting voted on in a few days?
