There will be no beam rifle. CMT does not want a lot of weapon parallels.
really? i don't even know what the heck that show is about.......never heard of it, but yea, i think it would be a good idea for me =), don't know about CMT and you guys
and no, the beam rifle won't be in SPv2
The beam rifle wouldn't be used often anyway. I mean I never used it. Its just a sniper rifle thats purple shoots beams and overheats after 2 shots (I never had the patience to manage the heat on most covie weps)
Now if the weapon was NOT the new fuel rod wep I would assume it would be some sort of pistol actually. I don't know why but I really want to see another type of pistol stead of the current one.
Or maybe its a fuel rod pistol.:awesome:
sadly my beloved (and dead-sexy) carbine doesnt have a place in cmtspv2. but, though i hate to say it, cmt is right to leave it out. long ranged covie weapons simply do not fit into halo 1 at all, so carbine and beam rifle are staying in the gun cabinet on this one
I think the new enemy is a Prophet. After reading the "unconfirmed enemy" description in the Collective information thread, that makes the most sense. Either that or the Onyx sentinals combined to form one massive enemy.
Ok...but where would they put the prophet then?
And how would they fight?
perhaps its an engineer? they were technically in halo 1, but they were just hidden on the disk. not even in the game so i guess if cmt finished the animations and found a place for them it could work. i could picture roaming around the forerunner ruins and seeing engineer's studying the runes and machines.
I can see engineers but not as an enemy per say. More as just something thats there for a scene (Aka moving target practice)
Honestly I don't have any idea what a new enemy would be unless their doing some of the left out covie races (like the Drinol), or maybe a new type of flood.
well, we can always look forward to the Beeam Rifle in Z-Team's Campaign.
and Engineer sounds too simple to be a new enemy...considering they aren't so tough
Well, we can keep guessing what it is...but, sooner or later we're just gonna find out by ourselves =(
btw, is the Enforcer going to be in your campaign? and mb Gold Sentinels? I heard it was in an early beta of SPv2 but you took it out later on are you going to put it back in or are the gold ones staying out, final?
Maybe the new enemy is an infected Spartan...
Goldies are one of the new enemies, but it's not the new enemy.
Gold Elites are new?
Gold Brutes maybe?
How bout Lurker Flood? Think mutated wall climbing flood forms. Shouldn't be to make really. Sorta take the combat flood give it a new model and the abilities to scale walls like infection forms..........
Flood can already scale walls...watch them on that arduously lon elevator ride in the Halo 2 level "The Oracle."
thats true... but maybe the new enemy is going to be an infected jackal? lol or grunt...
I am sticking with infected Spartan for now...wearing pieces of SPI armor.
yeah thats true. i guess warsaw's theory could be it.
Also ironclad jackels can't be infected since their bones are hollow. Not enough calcium to sustain the flood. Grunts are already infected just that none of them are suitible for combat so they automatically converted to Carrier form.
Great Infected Spartans hmmmm.........Heh watch em blow each other up with the BRG.
Yah I was talking bout Halo 1.
The only flood in H1 that could scale walls were the infection forms. I mean I want to see some flood crawling upside down in the tunnels at me. (I have weird tastes I know)
oh jackals cant be infected can they? haha lil bastards anyways. rofl maybe its infected brutes.
Brutes can't be infected because their fur is too thick for the flood to penetrate it.
I think Bungie's just making these excuses because they don't want to design more flood forms.....
Probably. I am sticking to the excuse that brutes don't have enough brain matter/intelligence to infect.
If the Flood can penetrate the Chief's air-sealed space worthy armor, I'm sure they'd have no problem going through gorilla hair. :p
Even though in First Strike they described the Brutes as having very thick, tough hides, I have no doubt the Flood could pierce that, also.
They can infect swamp plants but they can't utilize the mental capacity of self-aware beings capable of speech, social interaction, comprehending the concept of religion and spirituality, and the ability to learn how to proficiently operate and manufacture space-age equipment?
Yah I always wondered why the infections forms could hurt chief......sure its just for the gameplay but still....
That's also a tidbit from the books. The Infection form uses its probiscus to pierce the armor's undersuit between the joints in the metal plates.
Cortana fried the infection form before it could do any real damage using the Master Chief's shields.
And the plants aren't infected, they are just meant to look that way to scare you. If you play the level "Gravemind," you'll notice that those same plants look that way even before the Flood board and capture the city.
And anyway what would the flood do with an infected plant anyway?
Wait if Flood could infect plants......then they would use em as carriers........Oh. God.
More like incubators. Carriers have to be able to move.
Right. Same difference just without moving.
Heh imagine having every plant large enough to sustain flood got infected and used as incubators.
