If you're asking why there aren't very many features in this build, it's not because of the map protection problem. Yelo Battery is not Project Yellow (name out-of-date). The battery build was created from scratch this summer so I could easily manage it myself while kornman was working on halo 2. Features will be added once the current features are stable.
It's a hassle to learn, especially if you have no Direct3D experience, like myself. There are tons of direct3d hooking guides out there (in c++). It's definitely not something you can do with a trainer though.
Well not I wasnt asking why there wasnt many features in this build, I think there is enough. This as some thing to do with project yelo, I know it isnt PY, I was just wondering whether the PY stuff still works for CE, because this has a few errors, PY runs via a new exe and I bet some other dlls. Wasnt sure if these problems where universal.
Its not really the hooking part of it that is the problem. I could get a source from your pal Racer_S from his site he made one that writes on the screen in GTA SA in VB6. I know you need to hook onto the scree via dx, its just how do you write on. Do you create pixels of the colour you want (so a bit of a darker background, then white for the white text (using yelo battery for example) and you do it in sweaps just how DX works...Quote:

I don't know, I haven't tested the PY stuff in a long time. There were some key problems with the loader that were fixed in the Battery method though.

Sadly halo doesnt like my gfx card drivers. And I cant update them because the graphics card isnt supported by halo :( so I gotta wait till I get a new card =\

I found a pretty big bug, I get exceptions when minimizing.

The bug is fixed, and the first post has the update which is hopefully stable. I will use my website to host the file for now since I don't have access to kornnersoftware.com.

I got some wierd bugs going on... I downloaded the update and installed it, but my halo ce exceptions when I try to start it, this has been happening ever since my game crashed while setting up my weapons position. Anyway I figured out it has to do with my profile, I deleted my profile and backed it up, and the game started with the new updated plugins finally, but when I was setting up a new profile, I changed the graphics settings to be lower (so I dont get bad fps) and the game exceptioned when I went to save the new gfx settings.
I'm not sure whats going on other than the exceptions/crashes being related to my profile settings...
Make sure you download the one currently posted on my website. I just fixed the video crash. Let me know if it happens again.

What I do is I put my guns in a realistic position. Most of the games out today make the guns lead back to the corner of the screen, making it look like it isn't quite pointing where the gun is.
DirectX Runtime Optional Component thingy wont download or install for me, I let the program run but it says 'Failed: Could not Download the application.'

Right-click your Halo CE shortcut. Under the shortcut tab, click Find Target. That is your Halo CE directory.

I don't understand your question, but I'll guess. The YeloSettings.txt file holds the settings. It's located in your halo profile folder "my games/halo/savegames/<profile name>/". So to transfer the settings to another profile, move it to the respective profile folder.
1. When did that happen?
2. What were you doing when that happened?
3. Has it happened before, or is this the first time you used the plugin?
4. Did you edit the settings file yourself?

But whence I remove the dll's Halo starts normally. Now when I put them back in the Halo CE folder, Halo wont even display an error.
Hey, just tested it on my dads laptop. I cant see the white text, I just see a grey box at the top of the halo screen. I cant move the gun side to side, only forward and backward, and i have no idea what pressing 3 does because nothing changes =\

I told Devour about the new feature that was added last night. It displays your kills and deaths in the HUD rather than the chat text, as in Halo 1 Xbox.
Note: "You killed Borat" is displayed as a HUD message

By default, it only appends the number of kills to the message if it's a slayer game. I'm going to make it display for all gametypes some time today, then we'll release.
Archon, I plan on adding all the old camera mods in the future. Are you having trouble getting this to run?
Basically it just gives me an auto exception error so I'm passing this up until a version that actually works on my comp. HUD looks nice.
Not much to it. Xfires off and I never even heard of DXTweaker. All it is is an exception error at start. On both PC and CE. Basically just won't run with the plugin installed. Simple as that.

The third release is in the first post. I'm hoping this build will have no startup errors and random hang-ups. Let me know if they're still present.

Do not work on my halo PC (French version). I'm pretty sure that's because of our fonts files, they're diferent because of the need of things such as accents.Quote:

The 8th and 9th strings aren't present in Halo PC/CE. Maybe I can use the 7th string and replace "telefragged" with "killed by" / "betrayed by."

And to answer your question, yes there is. (and so on : japan, german, spanish, italian...)
This version is quite weird too, it do translate all the language string in french even if the map was build with the english strings (Off course when it come to custom string it do not), the SP map are gitchy for some odd reasons (by glitchy I mean sounds and bitmaps problems). There's also a mistake in the translation ( for "user created map" :p). And huu....oh yes, this version do check for update, but It do not find any. So you're stuck with the 1.0, unless you update it manually
So I put the .dll file in the halo directory made sure xfire wasn't running and started Halo up.But as soon as it starts is gives me the gathering exception error. I'm not sure what is causing this, but I really want to use this!

Ah. The file didnt seem to be appearing anywhere, but the latest release seems to have fixed that - its in the C:\P..F\M..G\Halo\ folder.
With your old FOV hack, when the fov was changed it also changed the weapon position, so it didnt look... distorted. Any chance of that happening?
Someone else is having that problem, and I don't know what's causing that yet.
With the old hack, the weapon actually stays in place. You just start to see more of your arms as you increase your field of view.
In Yelo Battery, I wanted to be able to change the FOV without seeing more of your arms. Is that a bad idea?
I noticed people were complaining about the weapons clipping at larger FOV's. I always fixed it by pushing the weapon forward a little bit until it didn't clip and wasn't distorted.
Yelo should be checking the language of the user, its not the best idea to be having seperate localized plugins.

Well it might be a bad idea, more personal preference. I can see why you did it the new way, and its definetely got more potential - it just makes it a whole lot more complicated if you arent messing around with the positioning and just like it... normal.

It's high priority of mine to keep the interface clean and simple, so I REALLY appreciate your feedback. I now realize that it does overcomplicate things, so I'll remove it.
Rather than adding specific support for French, I've been working on making it compatible with all languages. It should be done soon.
Its new because its not in halopc, and in xbox it only states your kill count in slayer...
I forgot to specify that it displays your kills as blue HUD text, rather than the smaller white chat text. And in the screenshot, the kill-count isn't displayed, but it is in the current build.
I start up halo CE, or even halo PC, and it give's me an exception... any ideas? also, do you know where i can get your camera mods? none of the download links on www.halomods.org are working, they just take ou back to the index...(Or is it because im running vista?)

I downloaded the version 3 of yelo battery, the one that should fix the clear type bug error thingy.
It still doesnt display the fonts, its just a grey box again, however this time it lags/cuts down the FPS alot..

I finally got around to using it, and I like it. It doesn't work with some resolutions i've thrown at it though, such as 4000x600, which exceptions before I even see the Halo splash screen. And yes, it works without the d3d9.dll just fine.
edit- Nevermind. It just didn't like being forced to a second screen is all.

Since 1280x1024 is 5:4, the HUD-scaling kicks in and tries to resize it to 4:3. It's really only meant for widescreen resolutions, so just turn it off.

Please help me, I've done everything the readme says and it don't work. I installed that plugin and put the .dll in the right directory. What is wrong?? I always get the error message: d3dx9_33.dll was failed to load try re-installing the game.
update: ok update on my situation still dosn't work, and i also tried on regular halo pc it didn't work either. I did everything right and double checked. it even gives a 2nd error message that says i need direct x 9.0b installed which is.
Check the link in the Installation section of the readme. You need to install the directx runtimes.
make sure d3dx9_33.dll is in your halo directory.......
could help. i had problems with an older release of the plugin and that fixed it... dunno why. should have just loaded the default from somewhere in the windows directory.
If you mean that link to microsoft.com/*etc..* I followed that and installed that directx plugin.
And also I don't even see a d3dx9_33.dll in halo folders the only thing resembling that is d3d9.dll which is the Yelo program.
EDIT- Sorry about the fuss apparently the reason it wasn't downloading correctly I was using firefox.. I'm using IE now and it seems to download it properly. Once i try your Yelo program I'll report my results.
Edit#2- ok its working now so you cant download it with firefox you gotta use IE, anyone else had that prob?

That file is included with the directx runtimes.
This is actually the latest feature I was working on. I tried reflecting the firstperson model vertices, but I was getting strange results. I don't know enough about model data to make it work yet.
I'm just throwing this out there, but how about a third person add-on as well, that works similarly to the FOV option? ;b No pressure, no pressure.

It has nothing to do with your root folder. It's just a very elusive bug that some people are getting.
