only reason im not using the 8400 and the pentium d is because the mobo they were using got fried by a burst capacitor.
the pentium dual core is pretty good for what i want it for and it is overclocked and well cooled.
Your loss.
Couldn't you at least spend a little more money and get at least an 8600GT? Like come on, how can you even think of gaming for the future with anything less than an 8600GT?
Pentium D processors are not "ultra fail". They are actually pretty good, just not in comparison to the new Core 2 Duo processors. If his is indeed overclocked (not underclocked Xet, don't get those two mixed up) it should suit him fine for another year or so.
The fact i only had arround £32 to spend a on a new video card as ive just replaced my motherboard to beable to use my pentium d makes me say No i couldnt have "atleast gotten a 8600".
Once ive got a decent paid job i may think about upgrading a bit higher than what i have now but that is not an option of my current situation.
orly?
