I think that new metroid is the Metroid Trilogy, which includes the 2 Metroid games from Gamecube revamped, and the Metroid 3 Corrupted with new features and everything.

Motion controller tech demo was awesome. Finally somebody did it right; I hated how the Wii made one use a set of preordained motions instead of the motions being completely up to the player.
This is, if not up to par with MS, damned close.
Though I hope XNA developers can get their hands on the motion controller tech MS is offering.
