The patch for consoles today enabled it. Rumor has on Reddit that when either of the teams' tickets drop to 10, the scripted sequence plays. Don't et caught under it, though. HTH.

That's terrible. What they should have done was make it accurate, as in, show heat emanating from everything that heat should be emanating from. They also should have made it useless outdoors, where the sun would blind you.

Actually, why can't they just make it like GRAW's night vision?

LOL chill guys, that's a troll video. Somehow it looks all murky, but go use it on consoles yourself and you'll see that it ain't that bad. All the patch did was make the yellow highlighting paler.

i think i may have asked this already, but is there any way to counter the IR scope? like cold blooded in mw2 or something

The second PC patch should have a similar fix for the IRNV. I still think it's easy to spot people. Use SPEC OPS skins (last camo unlock) to help disguise your heat signature. I doesn't really work, that well, though. I posted some comparison pics about 2 or 3 weeks ago, but a comparison will have to be done again once the new patch hits.

I think it's still too bright. It doesn't behave or look at all like night vision should; it's more like Predator vision. Actually, it would be more accurate to say that it's too contrasty and too specific (that is, it only highlights targets, ignoring any other heat reflecting/generating surfaces), not too bright. It also should not work well in sunlight.
