This is what i do when modelling in zbrush/mudbox: first create a quad mesh in max with low detail etc (but be sure to handle poly distribution correctly), import into zbrush, and then work with it from there.
Haha, yah, I knew somebody was going to say that. Believe me though, it was way easier making it all just one piece.(the whole thing started out as a sphere, and all that was really done in the end was moving verts) Doesn't matter though, the only reason I made it was to learn crap, and I'm going to make the sexy render in a way which nobody will ever know.
@ WoL: Yah, thats what most of the people over in the Zbrush forums do. But for making bipeds and stuff, you can just start out with Zspheres for your base mesh. Theres supposed to be a way to re-topologize (omg spelling) models in Zbrush, but I havn't got there yet. I really don't care though unless it's going in a game. Also, pics of your work?
