Re: [Reach] Halo: Reach Discussion
I'm hoping it's something to do with speeding into players and getting them stuck to the hood of your Warthog, blood filling dents in the metal, and helmets lodged in your windshield, grizzly trophies of your superb driving abilities.
Vehicles have been easy enough to avoid ever since the death of the "brush up against it and you're dead" system of the original Halo. I hope it's something less technical, and more fun.
Re: [Reach] Halo: Reach Discussion
Someone suggested the ability to flip an oncoming vehicle, which seems like a likely DO-WANT feature from the Halo 1 days
Re: [Reach] Halo: Reach Discussion
I imagine it's something along the liens of what Hoodedsmack said. I'd almost want to see bodies stay in vehicles when they're killed in them, but of course one would then have to worry about how to get them *out* when a new player enters.

That couldn't be too difficult, considering the systems already in place. It'd be like hijacking a vehicle, but instead of an active player, you're just removing a ragdoll. I like that idea.
Re: [Reach] Halo: Reach Discussion
Why not both those ideas? :haw:
Re: [Reach] Halo: Reach Discussion
Vehicles don't need another factor in their destruction. They're already like paper as it is...
Re: [Reach] Halo: Reach Discussion
Also, the ability to flip moving vehicles would change the classic technique of well-placed grenades sending incoming vehicles tumbling. Not to mention the speed at which vehicles move would give you no time to pull it off. If you're A) close enough to flip a moving vehicle, and B) that vehicle is moving slowly enough to do so, you already have the option to hijack it. Adding such an element would also just confuse people as to why it takes two melee hits to kill a man, when you can send a full car flying with your bare fists.
Re: [Reach] Halo: Reach Discussion
Doesn't armour lock flip vehicles? because if it doesn't it ought to.

It made the banshee spin like crazy for me when I hit somebody, and the ghost on a few occasions. It just EMP's the vehicle when the vehicle hits the armour locked person.
