The landing is better, but not very smooth or real-like. :\
Also, since this flew under the radar in the other gallery topic and I will be putting this in halo, what do you guys think?

Modeled, UVed, and bumped by me (btw, since the last topic, I reuved the whole thing).
Again, unfinished (parts left out), and the end result probably won't even remain final since I have the rest of the biped to do. Anyway, what do you guys think so far? This is really just a way to practice bump mapping, since I wouldn't get off my lazy ass and just do it, so crit would be very helpful. <_<
Also, bland side is bland (I will be changing that =p).
[edit] Oh fuck, forgot to make the transition from green metal to grey metal (the actual "foot part") more apparent; oh well.
He should jump out of the pod a LOT faster.
Rooster, the shoe is nice. Fix the smoothing groups tho, i think you could suffice for putting everything as 1 except for the sole.
Okay, thanks for the suggestion... I was thinking the same thing tbh. That area on the "buckle" is blegh.
Rooster, were you the one who modeled the whole MC? if so, i really encourage you to continue on and bump map the whole thing, it's a great experience.
Yes, but I had to restart because in order for my new system to work I had to reformat. D:
This model is beginning to be a whole lot better than the last. This time, I'm keeping the limbs and stuff separate though, so it's easier to UV. Once I am finished, I am going to weld all the connecting verts, and rig the bones. Then I'll put it ingame. :D
So, a small update. Didn't really change much but smoothing and one case of bad triangulation (still making in maya, but I am working some in max).
