The steam flies straight out and when you tilt it it tilts with the gun..

The steam would probably be coming out at some speed though, so it wouldnt really go upwards all of the time.. and no one knows the density of plasma steam. So technically it could go down.

Also, why is the biped motionless? The white one you are looking near.

The gif is too small to notice the slight movement of the rifle idle animation.
