Well I don't want it flying around but having it perfectly static is kind of weird looking. I'm going to have it tilt and drift very very slowly. Like as if the wind was moving it around a bit.
God dammit just have coming out of a cloud in the distance.

Unless someone paints a damn sky then I can't. Halo can't do volumetric shit properly and I like having the ship close enough to see detail.

Yeah yeah, I know its not very detailed but I can barely model. It's only 3k polys total so even polar can run it on high settings.

As for detail, you'll see plenty. I don't think the distance should be any greater than the one in ODST, and that came out fine. But fuck, you should worry about the details of the surrounding hills and shit more than the capital ship.
I need someone who can paint a nice texture for it.
