Compare Doctor Who to Battlestar Galactica, and tell me the effects aren't primitive with a straight face. End of Time was ultra-fake.

Fuck, Battlestar Galactica was a great series (the reboot, couldn't get into TOS). Can't wait to rewatch it in a few years. Anyway, thanks for the suggestions

You're not seriously comparing a privately funded TV show to a publicly funded one are you?
How many other TV shows do you know that are heading towards their 50th anniversary, not because of effects but because of the stories?

But the effects are supposed to be bad. Right? Right?

That's not the point though, is it? The point is that the effects are still primitive. I'm not judging the show based on that, you should know better, I'm just saying...primitive SFX are primitive.
