umm...About the new AR..it's been kinda bothering me for a while and I know we're not exactly reaching for perfection, but the thing that's been bothering me for a while is this...

well...I'm not here to complain about the crosshair or the position of the AR...well, I'm not cmplaining either, just couldn't keep this inside any longer (like other times) but if you look closely, you'll see that the Ammo Counter on the AR isn't as round as the original Halo 3 AR...
and on another place in this post....I likededed teh shiny ='(

This pic was taken in the unreleased CMT MP level Delta Ruins, which I have been using as a personal test map. It is not part of SP2. Disregard the beta build watermark, it means nothing in the context of this picture.

The origins cannot be the same as H3's. H3 runs at a different aspect ratio than h1. Somewhere I have a render of AR origins I made using this ratio, and they were much more accurate. Also, h3's crosshairs are lower than h1's, meaning that the gun is positioned lower. Lower position with a higher reticle looks REALLY wrong.
As for the model, you should have come out with it when it was being modeled, we could have fixed it easier then.

i want to hear about model and anims for the BR too. also, teh lag is right, you CANNOT have the assualt rifle held exactly the same as in halo 3. it cant be done without aiming at the ground, and having bullets magically fly up

Because the Halo 3 cross-hair is absurdly low in the screen.
