Will be buying this, just for the Zombie levels, got up to like level 40' something in World at War, hopefully this will have DLC maps and whatnot. (AND LIGHTING GUNS)
Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops
I cannot decide what to buy this is fucking hard. Metal of honor or Black Ops.

Medal of Honor is an instant no-buy.
Why anybody would drop $60 on this game is completely beyond me. I played through the campaign on the hardest difficulty level in 4.5 hours. There's a serious problem there. That was including the 40 minutes I spent trying to fix the bugged out second mission when calling in airstrikes due to the laser being cock blocked by a building. There is no way to fix that without restarting the level. The amount of the restrictions is so great, even more invisible walls are in place than BC2's campaign. Oh and by comparison to any game that has been released in the past two years, the campaign has the worst graphics I've seen. BC2's graphics are soooo much sharper and clearer.
The only good thing I can say about the campaign is that it has some epic moments nearing the end of the campaign. Still, when the game was finished, I was left asking: "This is it?" Something that I said similar to the cliffhanger ending for Halo 2. You end the last mission expecting to head to the next one and then the credits start to roll, but not before they throw in a random cutscene about the obvious sequel.
Now for the multiplayer, it was developed by DICE so the multiplayer portion was buttloads better than the campaign. The graphics were better, the gameplay was a tiny bit smoother, but it is way too easy to kill people. One shot to the foot with a sniper rifle shouldn't kill somebody. Not even if its hardcore mode or whatever.
Black Ops actually looks to be shaping up with the ridiculous amount of detail, content, and balancing Treyarch is putting into the game. I'm still with Pooky on this one, though.
Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops
Played the SP. No change in core-gameplay as always and not much is new other than graphics and weapons(which seem like a new gun idea hastily shoved into the game). The SP experience is amazing though, as with the other COD games. The story telling and the minimal amount of clichés makes it seem new. I don't see myself playing MP any time in the future.
A gametype with only pistols, ORIGINAL, DO NOT STEAL
Omg saved films? Never been done before, now I can make COD machinima
Exploding cross bow bolts, RC cars that explode, bullets that set stuff on fire, COD is so creative. 0 day buy, 10/10 original games, pinnacle of FPS gaming.
Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops
MP is the same reskinned shit I've already played twice over (WaW, MW2), screw buying it again. The only thing that would make me buy this would be the single player.
Also yes I am raging silently over the weapon animations as well. They still majorly suck.

I got the game free so maybe I'm being biased but:
1. The graphics where not that bad at all.
2. I liked the story. (Especially the ending)
Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops
Interesting thing about MoH was how the SP used Unreal 3 and MP used Frostbite 2.0.
Personally though I thought the Multiplayer looked much cleaner than SP..ironic, seeing as most all games have a better looking SP.

Borrowed it from a friend. SP was mediocre. Only good part was the ambush where you're in a little building and guys are coming at you from down the mountain and the part right after it with the helicopters. Didn't even get to try the MP because EA is a massive faggot.
Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops
For me, if someone was to show me a video of MW2 MP, and then Black Ops MP, I would have no idea which was which. That is a fucking big problem. I don't want to pay out the ass amounts for the game, which will not go down in price for at least 4 years. For a game that is exactly the same as MW2. Okay the perks are slightly different, and there will be new maps, but really when I buy a new game I don't buy it because its the same crap just with a new map.
I am liking the sound of SP though, the whole your black ops stuff is pretty sweet. Yet I wonder how long it is?
Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops
I don't know but they've hid quite a bit about the Single Player, from what I've seen so far it looks pretty neat though.
An easy way to tell the difference between the two games though is how gritty looking Treyarch's games are...also the origins are worse :V
