I'm thinking of purchasing a rifle. Should I go for a Mosin?

A mosin is a pretty good choice. The ammo is cheap, the action and sights are simple, and the rifles are cheap too. You can expect accuracy to be inconsistent between rifles. I've seen rifles that were real dogs, and some that shot excellently. It really depends on the gun.Quote:

If you want to buy from a store, I suggest looking around for local gun stores and going inside.
If you want to buy online, I suggest going to AIMsurplus. They sell them for a very good price, they'll help you with an FFL transfer, and I've only heard great things about the quality of the rifles they sell.
If you buy from there, I also suggest ordering a pair of the ammo spam cans they sell. That'll be about $220 bucks or so after shipping. If you buy one, it doesn't come with the can opener, which are hard to find on their own.
If you decide to pull the trigger on this, then have fun :)
Yeah my next paycheck i'll most likely get one.
One thing though, since I live in Arizona, are there any restrictions on one of these things? Like what is an FFL transfer, can I just buy one online, etc?
