Oh shi- Its a mini Dane!
I'd like my texture better if it were higher rez and it actually made sense. Like Con and many others have said, it's really too complex to be forerunner. But, I'll keep trying. :D
I actually just realized that, and I would of had I payed attention. O well, I appologize.Quote:
I love how people post their work here in the Halo CE gallery thread when it has absolutely nothing to do with Halo CE or it'll never make it ingame. We have an offtopic gallery thread for a reason.
... When this mesh is unwrapped onto a low poly model the turbo smoothed areas will fill the rounds of the straight edged areas of the low res model.Quote:
Lay off the turbo smooth.
Looks neat, but lacks uniformity, it's just a bit too "fingerprinted" in design if you get what I mean. Nice to see someone actually bothering to make stuff :D
It would of course fit well as a minor detail map for something.
Yeah, I'll try it as a detail map, and see how that looks. :D
Also, I need to get better at bumps. :\ A lot of those look like they are at the same level, yet most are on different levels (you can even see the difference in the height map pretty easily).
Incase some of you dont understand why the model looks like it does, this might help. Helped me when he showed.... err me saw it. Also,Should i post this in the ot section?
I hate it because it's all one uniform thickness for the most part. the body is just screaming TURBOSMOOTHED DETAILED BOX. You didn't even really follow the reference very well at all.
Actually no, I'm an immature 17 year old who posts on forums to ward off boredom.
It's not like it would matter if you did.
I could have sworn that was a photograph of a play-doh gun :|
It would probably look decent if not over smoothed.
