A bit cheesy at times, but very cool.

I'm surprised to see needle rifles, since those won't be in the actual game.

The only issue I saw was:

"Call me Master Chief."

No, no John. You say:

"Master Chief Petty Officer John 117."

You give your rank and name not your monicker.

Other than that it was good. Gotta give it to John to snipe with his magnum.

The only issue you saw? Lol.

But no, actually. Navy addresses its MCPOs as Master Chief [last name]. With their names still classified, that's appropriate.

Would love to see a First Strike or Fall of Reach version made like this.

First Strike/Fall of Reach has been retconned so hard by now it's not even funny.

Not that it's a big deal at all. Those books need to be retconned.

Or the UNSC was losing a war against an army comprised entirely of grunts and jackals. And no one saw an SMG before until 2552.

To my own surprise, I actually liked most of what I saw. FOV looks bearable, the bloom effect (mid range bullet spread) appears to be drastically toned down and the overall pace looks a lot closer to what we saw in Halo 3. Who knows, I might actually enjoy this game.
