Re: [Reach] Halo: Reach Discussion
I still wish this game would let you throw in AI in forge. Make your own sorta campaign and firefight maps and such.
Just have a system similar to Timesplitters were you set up each individual AI how you want (Patrol, Spawn and attack, etc.) I would probably stop playing other games altogether if it had that.
On another note, I do not see how Bungie can't enable 4 player split screen co-op. Anyone remember this glitch in Halo 3?

I have used it, it works fine too.
e. Embedded videos don't seem to work for me?

Except when you hit a cortana screen effect, then it doesn't work fine. Stuff like that is why things get cut. Bungie doesn't just cut things just for "lulz", it's due to technical (generally, performance) issues that they either can't fix on the platform, or don't have the time to fix.
Their test labs are a lot more serious than just a couple of kids playing normally via a glitch. 4 player split screen would have to perform without FPS and other issues in ALL test cases before they would bless off on it. Try having players spread out across 4 parts of a campaign map (more detailed, larger, and packed with various AI systems, etc than the MP maps), with one or two of them actively engaged in battle. I bet you it won't perform like it does with only 2 players.
Re: [Reach] Halo: Reach Discussion
As for AI in Forge, if HEK's Sapien is any indication, getting AI to work right would be extremely confusing and irritating for players, no matter how nice a GUI you wrapped around it. The nature of AI and encounters and scripting is so complex that I can understand why they left it out. It would be undeniably awesome, but then, it would be undeniably awesome if the game had 80 hours of unique campaign to explore. Some things just aren't feasible.
Re: [Reach] Halo: Reach Discussion
Yeah, I guess from a technical perspective, and in the larger scheme of things, I can see it being a lot more complicated and difficult than it seems.
Still, a man can dream.

Blue Delta is voiced by Chris Carney.
Also, idgi. But it's neat.

BEST vehicle Bungie has made :)
Why does the first part sound like a scary gay sex story to me :(

Ah, suffering. Let me tell you a tale, nay, sing you a song, of metal and rubber and a heart as big as the world. Let me hearken to you...the Ballard of Forky.
Forky was a fine steed, but more, he was a fine friend. From the moment my MJOLNIR-clad buttocks pressed deeply into his supple leather seat, I knew ours was a bond that could never be shipped to the wrong depot. And as we lifted boxes and crates together, my hands slipping perfectly around his ergonomic controls, truly it was my heart that soared.
Together we were a force to be reckoned with. Even amidst the Covenant invasion, we refused to shirk our duty. We knew that each and every load could make all the difference. Undelivered, a Marine might go without his beans. A trooper, without her helmet. It was our duty...no, it was our passion.
But it would not last forever. It could not last forever. I'll spare you the details, for to relay them now would be to tear my own soul asunder. To rend my heart into a million beating pieces.
Forky was brave. He was heroic.
But in the end, even together, we could not push the Covenant aside. Our two-pronged assault was not enough. The odds were stacked against us.
Rest in peace, dear Forky. I pray your soul will be lifted to some beautiful warehouse in the sky, where eagles soar defiantly above fields of pristine crates, each pining for safe transit and temperature controlled storage.
Godspeed, my hydraulically gifted friend. You will be missed.
Now, I know what you're thinking. Dear God, they cut the Forklift. I'm sorry, friends. Sometimes I want to have a little fun at your expense. The Forklift wasn't cut. It's alive and well along with a stable of other civilian vehicles, all idling warmly, waiting to go on an adventure with you.

Re: [Reach] Halo: Reach Discussion
I like that Forklift.
I guarantee there will be a slew of race maps where everyone needs to use the Forklift within a day of release.
They couldn't be on Forge World, though, as Forge World doesn't have any civilian vehicles.

'Special' Halo Reach announcement coming this week
A 'very special' Halo: Reach announcement will leave Microsoft's lips on Thursday, the firm has told CVG.
The news will arrive at an invite-only event in London - which we'll be at front and centre, don't you worry.
And do you know who else will? Baldy Gadget Show man Jason Bradbury and Rio Ferdinand. Yep, Rio 'I'm really supposed to be at a drugs test' Ferdinand. Nope, we don't know why either.
Perhaps Master Chief will return. In a Man Utd shirt. Or something.
A blurb sent over from MS this afternoon reads:
'England Football Captain Rio Ferdinand and The
Gadget Show's Jason Bradbury would like you to join them for a very special announcement this Thursday for the launch of highly anticipated entertainment blockbuster, Halo: Reach - out exclusively on Xbox 360 on September 14, developed by Bungie.'
