have you played farcry 2 teek? if you havent, when your health bar hits the red, you can do an "critical heal" rather than just injecting yourself. i guess the idea is that youre really fucked up and removing sticks and glass from your body would be the first step in un-fucking yourself. in this case i guess its just the game not knowing what "critical heal" animation to use. normally its pretty good about picking situationally appropriate animations
