Re: Project IRIS needs your help!
Guys, we didn't choose Unreal because the core gameplay is already in place for us in Crysis, as well as the fact that CE2 allows us to flesh out our art style in a way where nothing is left to be desired. So basically we can't just go and change engines at this point. Trust me, when it comes to the final product, you'll forget all about Unreal.

After reading this it just struck me in the face. We could have BR's that could customize during the game. :neckbeard: Cryengine = Good Choice. Anyway, hit me up on msn or aim or whatever and we can chat.
Re: Project IRIS needs your help!
You could do it in unreal as well. The functionality isn't built in though. You would have to program it in yourself.

Re: Project IRIS needs your help!
Eh, let's just leave the Halo conversion to Inferno's occasional rip.
So what new-new things could we expect (other than being all prettylike), now that you're on a totally different engine (and thus not bound by the Halo 1 SDK)? Or will this be an exact port of how Halo 1 was played?
Re: Project IRIS needs your help!
All i'm gonna say is that the gameplay is going to be halo-esque, and ODST based. As in, not the Halo3:ODST mp gameplay, but gameplay will be regular old halo MP only without dudes who can run and jump like superman.
Re: Project IRIS needs your help!
You're still alive!? This project is still alive!? My whole world is turned topsy-turvy!
In all seriousness, I don't want my first reply to be critical rather than constructive, but I have to say I don't really care for that ODST. It took me a second to figure out it was still a Halo-related mod you were posting about. :/
I'm all for creative liberties, but something just feels off about that biped.
Still, I'm with everybody else in wanting to see Halo in Crysis. I'm interested to see what else is in there. I'm curious- what are you doing for audio? Some of the Halo weapons and vehicles have very distinctive sounds- are you using assets from Crytek, or Halo CE assets, or making your own, or some combination of the three?
I wish I could help, but as I keep telling everybody, I'm swamped.
Re: Project IRIS needs your help!
to answer your questions---yes.
