what happened? Crysis 1 characters look fucking amazing. Must have turned off the subsurface or something...
Also, amazing console screenshot, really shows just how competitive consoles are to the PC visually, I bet they can do this stuff with a steady 15 fps too.

I didn't mind the faces, but I also haven't played the first Crysis game in a while, so I've probably forgotten how good they were. As for that console screenshot, somehow I doubt that's the final quality. The xbox video on the other page looked pretty damned nice, and that screenshot looks more like Half Life 2 on low settings.
Yeah, I guess they must have pressed escape on their xbox controller and changed the settings to low in the advanced display menu, just so they could take a terrible screenshot for the web.

Got a question, If my computer can run crysis at Max already, would I be able to run this?
According to Crytek, CryEngine 3 is supposed to look better while improving performance at the same time. So, technically you should be fine. Still, I'm interested in some benchmarks.
If your keen, and good enough, the engine won't matter. What exactly don't you like about it?Quote:
