It's probably like what happens in halo 3 when a ragdoll hits something hard enough, it gets stretched. Or in this case, the head hit the ground too hard that it went upside down and inside the chest, making it look like the head was gone.

In the Boneyard one, the bottom left really reminds me of The Maw. Speaking of the POA, (spoilered just in case)

I did some digging into some of the bitmaps from the maps in the beta, and a normal map I found leads me to believe that we WILL be seeing the poa during the campaign, whether it be during a mission, or in a legendary ending (remake of Halo 1 intro:neckbeard:)

Also i LOVE seeing Halcyon class cruisers again!

That is a helluva lot of frigates lying around. Why the fuck didn't we use those to lay waste to the Covenant ground troops? D:
