Here is where the nuances come into place; I'm in the middle ground between religious and non-religious. Speaking with atheists about religion/spirituality is difficult because they relentlessly argue the fallacies regarding theism in general; in most cases, they don't care about semantics and will dismiss anything you say to explain your beliefs. Speaking with devout theists is difficult because they use it like a shield and a bubble most of the time, wanting to pursue convincing you their beliefs have merit. Most of my friends now-a-days are people who are either agnostic or save religion for their Sabbath day; the former mostly ask questions when they're curious, while the latter will just hold conversation about it if it's relevant. Most of the time otherwise...we just hangout and stuff like anyone else.
Life has become more about living it and finding a path for myself, rather than following a pack because I'm not certain what I want to believe. I have had friends of many different walks of life, and I feel like I am much better able to have friendships with people because I look far more at who they are over what they may or may not believe in. I have too many personal issues to worry about what other people believe or don't believe - and at no point do I have any right to judge someone lest they ask for it.

I'm actually okay with how things are going right now in terms of my own spirituality; my job is by no means where I want to be, but it is humbling and has put a lot of life into perspective.
