This. I really like the different gametypes they're introducing. Wager match sounds very interesting. To prevent camping, they should add in a function that calls in a mortar strike on your position if you stay in one spot for to long.Quote:

Seems they actually balanced that perk. Seeing as how every person in MW2 used SoH Pro if they were the least bit intelligent about "sniping" in that game.

Now for the multiplayer, it was developed by DICE so the multiplayer portion was buttloads better than the campaign. The graphics were better, the gameplay was a tiny bit smoother, but it is way too easy to kill people. One shot to the foot with a sniper rifle shouldn't kill somebody. Not even if its hardcore mode or whatever.
Black Ops actually looks to be shaping up with the ridiculous amount of detail, content, and balancing Treyarch is putting into the game. I'm still with Pooky on this one, though.
Played the SP. No change in core-gameplay as always and not much is new other than graphics and weapons(which seem like a new gun idea hastily shoved into the game). The SP experience is amazing though, as with the other COD games. The story telling and the minimal amount of clichés makes it seem new. I don't see myself playing MP any time in the future.

MP is the same reskinned shit I've already played twice over (WaW, MW2), screw buying it again. The only thing that would make me buy this would be the single player.

Interesting thing about MoH was how the SP used Unreal 3 and MP used Frostbite 2.0.

I can't really vote until I get my hands on this game and play it thoroughly. Initially I said I'd just play Halo: Reach. However, now seeing how balanced the game can be, I am seriously considering the purchase of this game. Still I won't purchase it until I've had at least 3 hours to muck around in it.
Not buying it on my own accord; probably like with MW2 only if a bunch of friends and/or coworkers get it.

Whatever the argument is, is irrelevant. All the changes we've seen so far regarding balance were made because those issues at hand were what made MW2 BAD.
I'm sorry if I don't enjoy being quick scoped all the way across the map on Wasteland by some faggot with an M14 EBR (it's not an M21 fuck you IW) because he has no sense of respect for gameplay. Sniping is you looking down your scope, getting a bead, and taking down your target; not spamming your gun while twitching the Aim Down Sights button. Fuck that.
I can go into a whole detail list of snipers very easily and you can not quick scope and think it's accurate in real life.
sniper rifles in call of duty have been broken for 3 games in a row now. between quickscoping and that no-scope bullshit, "talented" players will only use sniper rifles regardless of the map. THAT FACT IN ITSELF should have sent a huge fucking red flag up before they even thought about making WaW, let going through WaW and mw2. sleight of hand pro with the faster aim down sight is bullshit with sniper rifles because they are LONG RANGE weapons and SHOULD NOT defeat somebody with an assault rifle or smg at close range. the 3-4 second sight thing is kind of long, and definitely is not the best solution, but at least theyre taking a step in the right direction. this shows that at least they are acknowledging that this has been a problem
now lets see what they did to mitigate no-scoping, if anything. the quickscoping is bullshit, but noscoping is a straight up glitch in the engine that has not been fixed for 3 games straight. i think its called a g-shot. you side step, wait for the crosshairs to shrink back down, and then fire at a certain time, and the bullet will go dead center in the screen. iv never done it, i just saw a youtube video explaining it. i just cant belive that they basically mod the game and re-release it once a year, get thousands of videos on youtube showing trickshots and glitches, and yet still fail to fix any of the problems. im not even talking about balance issues right now.
i know i went on a rant there, but i kind of think its necessary we all understand the issue here.
This is why it is a game. All I'm saying is they took out the fun in sniping. I know it doesn't take skill to QS but it's fun to do it. If you actually have to take the time to line up your shot and assume which direction the enemy will be running then you might as well just take the snipers out of the game. It would take too long to line up a shot when someone is shooting at you already. Plus this will probably just make people camp more with snipers.
A sniper isn't suppose to be standing in the middle of a courtyard. They are supposed to be hiding, waiting for their prey. Yes it makes people camp, but thats what real snipers do.Quote:

If you want to be able to aim down the fucking sight at close range really fast and shoot someone, choose a bloody SMG.
If you want to snipe, aka LONG DISTANCES, then choose a fucking sniper and don't run around in close proximity to other players.

yeah acogs on snipers in cod4 was fricking amazing. dragunov acog with bandolier uav jammer and steady aim was one of my favorite setups. for some reason i found it alot easier to get headshots with acogs than i did with the normal sniper scope, but only with the m21 and dragunov. the bolt action rifles are a little harder to use imo.
my favorite map with that setup is bloc. nobody ever knows where you are due to UAV jammer, so you can look across the map and take people out of windows then move to a new location before people realize where you are. so much fun.
I think I shall try that out. I installed COD4 on my laptop and have to lvl up to get some of those perks, though. I unlocked the Dragunov in MP just now. I went on an M40 ACOG rampage. It seems almost too easy to kill people with it. I wasn't even playing on a hardcore server and I was killing people with single shots using the ACOG. The idea of the long range snipers is so you can guard an area from a distance deterring any would be rambos from entering your view and to support your team as they captured objectives.

I hate everyone and anyone that does that quick scoping bullshit, but the video spartan posted was just bullshit. those should have all been kills. Sniper rifle is just nerfed TOO much. the speed it takes to go in and out of the scope already seems to be a big enough hindrance to playing like a fag.
I've determined the M14 is the best gun ever. I just went 25 and 7 against someone whose already level 35.
though im convinced the gameplay wont be impressive, I actually do want to see the animations.
