I just want to let everybody know the good news : CtrlAlt finnaly found/fix the error we had in V2! Bravo Man, it took time but you made it! thks to him, we're now going to be able to get back to work and finish this damn map!

I'd love to make some big update to say that V2 is ready and all.. Unfortunatly, I have to stay silent cause there's nothing new since my last message. I'm still waiting the V2 stuff back from CtrlAlt.. it's 2 month and a half now.. It's now 10 days I have zero news.. As I said, he fixed a big error that was puting the project on hold.. then he had to make some stuff I wanted.. but as I said, I got no news from him.. I guess he is busy with school or other stuff.. I don't want to blame him, cause he made (long time ago) the entire script system for the doors/switchs and that is a big part of V2.. + correcting the big error + other stuff.. but believe me, I'm the 1st to be totally frustrated by this wait.. I asked him to send back the stuff, once he does so, I'll finish the map with e3po helping and things should go fast again... til then, it's stuck :(
And what about the Quad Mat? Progressing well?
so is there gonna be custom weapons
or classic weapons

The only custom content going into V2 is the 4(5?) seater hog and the ATV.

So how will the vehicles be placed on the map 3 ghosts at ghost base and 2 reg hogs, 2 rocket hogs and 2 5 seater hogs in the base hangar?
2 custom hogs + 2 rocket hogs + 2 chain gun hogs in the garage (in that order) - 2 H3 ATVs in the atv base.. 2 ghosts in a new place called "Ghost place" (near the place where there was the tiny sniper tower in V1). this popualtion goes for all gametypes except for Race mode.
In race mode it's all the same than before except that there are no more ATVs at ATV base but they are on top of the garage (where the ghosts standed in V1), also in race mode all the players will spawn on the 2 bases only.
Another thing to note: there'll be one banshee near the sniper tower in Slayer and team slayer mode. (maybe in KOTH also, I'm still thinking bout that).
When you re-modeled the hog, did you put something the passengers could hold onto to brace themselves with?

Also will this map work better on low-end pc's? Because I read this "Yoyorast decided to pick up the mesh again and improve on it, allowing for better performance on lower-end PCs".
Go look at how the Banshee in H2_Oblivion behaves, try and copy that formula.
There's plenty of cover for ground troops, and enough turns that vehicles could avoid them too.
Though perhaps the turning radius could be increased a little too to make banshee piolets actually commit to attacking instead of just taking potshots and seeing who they can flip.
The best way to test would be to actually test a banshee, as-is, with a full server.

Heres where im at with M257 MultvP .
Looks like it has a lot more stable steering compared to the original one in beta 1. Nice braking too. Curiousity- will there be a back passenger mount?
There is one, let me update this video to show that too.
Problem #1: visually top-heavy, yet preforms otherwise.
Fix: slightly widen the wheels -OR- decrease the chassis rise -OR- modify the physics so it is more liable to overturn.
Problem #2: drive axle physics suggest all-wheel steering, yet drive axle preforms otherwise. (in turns, tail end slides proportionally to angle of turn - the more you turn, the more the wheels slide)
Fix: include all-wheel steering.
Problem #3: suspension is too tight.
Fix: modify the physics to allow more 'give' when the vehicle makes rough contacts. Also, have the vehicle sag when a biped enters it. Spartans weigh 1000 pounds - make it show.
problem over all, it looks like the mc is driving a brick and its just sliding across the ground, its not leaning or doing any of that, the wheels are jus goin up and down and mb the vehicle is goin up and down a little. You need to make the vehicle rotate and shit as the suspensions compress so its like the vehicle is actualy on suspensions as its going across terrain, not just being all flat.
E. try and excuse my spelling its pretty late, im so tired.

Are you gunna reposition the way he sits on the ATV, as obviously you don't sit on one like that.
As a rider of many years and many Quads, yes that is the position. Actually you should be sitting almost ontop of the gas tank for best center of gravity. Any farther forward however and his arms would go into his chest.
As for suspension, thats it..... changed it 100 times and any other way and it flips or just looks retarded period.

It looked fine to me, Ill take unrealisticly stable over flipping every 10 seconds any day.
