If you read the Halo Manual, under plasma pistol it says something like "The UNSC currently don't understand how to recharge a plasma pistol battery".
Same with plasma rifle

If by Halo manual, you mean the Halo Combat Evolved Book that comes with the game, then yes it does.

Yeah, enough discussion on how feasible it is and whether or not the covenant had replaceable batteries or not. It's creative and the animation looks great. I don't see what wrong with that.

A quick concept for the PR. Obviously you could make it look 100 times better,
