Re: Pictures Funny Random
damn right, people know not to mess with you when you're wearing a black belt.
Funny related story, I recall a few years ago a couple of robbers attacked three guys near where I used to live. Turns out, the three guys were black belts from one of the partner TaeKwonDo schools to the one I used to attend. The two robbers were armed (can't remember if it was knives or guns), but the three guys disarmed and incapacitated them and held them until the police arrived.
I wish a robber would attack me... :saddowns:

I still think Hugh Laurie (too old, Freeman's in his 30s IIRC) and Chris Walken (face is just plain wrong, so is his voice) are bad choices, but whatever.
Re: Pictures Funny Random
Sean Connery ~5-10 years ago would have made a great Breen.
Re: Pictures Funny Random
Its just, sooo wierd seeing Hugh smile :O
Re: Pictures Funny Random
YES!!! I thought I was the only one who saw a perfect Gman in Christopher Walken.
Re: Pictures Funny Random
I think Walken could definitely pull off the "not quite comfortable with human speech" voice, but he just doesn't look right- his facial structure is wrong. Well, I guess appearance isn't all that's important- in fact, yes, I'd be happy with Walken as GMan, if not for the appearance then for the performance.
Of course, the whole thing is a moot point because while Half Life has the best storyline of any game I've ever played, it should never be made into a movie. It'd just water down the experience of being Gordon Freeman.
Lol@me for being so serious in the ot funny pics thread.
Re: Pictures Funny Random
Well, they can drop any debate as to who should play Freeman by making the entire movie in first person.
Re: Pictures Funny Random
A half life movie would never work.
Re: Pictures Funny Random
I think a tv series would work. 7 hour war maybe.
Re: Pictures Funny Random
Yes, while the "Half Life movie" is a fun thought experiment, Half Life is and always will be a game, because of Valve's (good) decision to tie the player so tightly into the role of Gordon Freeman. WHERE'S MY EPISODE 3?!?!/1slashone
