In all of the stories about Halo and Spartans they have always left various openings for more Spartan II's and III's to exist. Some of the Chief's original group are/were on deep cover and deep space assignments before the whole Covenant shit even happened. Some haven't checked in and are presumed alive.
As for Jedi and stuff... Who's to say that Yoda/the council didn't slowly refine the code to his own interpretation and/or liking to prevent use of The Force for offense? Luke's New Jedi Order doesn't even differentiate between the Light and the Dark side because Luke went to the Dark side and returned at some point. He was the only Jedi ever to do that, and he learned that there are no "sides" so long as you maintain personal clarity or some shit like that. He teaches both Light and Dark side techniques and powers in The New Jedi Order books and after, think of it as the "Grey Side". They also use Force powers in combat in an offensive capacity very much.
Yoda was a secret Sith anyway.
Only Siths deal in absolutes and Yoda dealt in absolutes at every chance he could get.
On the topic of Star Wars, Force Unleashed II has the WORST fucking boss fight ever in any recent-gen game I know of. It's even more fucking ridiculous on Unleashed difficulty. I'm glad they didn't announce a FU3 this year, I hope the "boss designer" got stabbed by a lightsaber prop at work and died shortly after. That or just got fired from all things Star Wars. Either is fine with me.
Probably a good thing I can't remember the boss battles in TFU right now, would probably start raging even harder.

On the subject of the Wii U, it was announced today it's only shipping with one controller and player 2 will use a standard wii-mote because the controller in itself is too pricey to sell. Nintendo said developers should be prepared for this.

That seems extremely lame.
It makes sense, since it would cost a shit ton if it came with more controllers. To be honest Nintendo is in an awkward position here with their controller(s), but they do have a year to figure it out and I'm sure they'll come up with a good solution soon enough.
