They're tiny air intakes, not to mention blocked by a large cone, and the engines used for helicopters aren't powerful enough for him to be sucked in. It's not a shop, there are signs that tell me it isn't. Lighting for one, look closer. And the position he's in, the orientation of his limbs, which are perfectly positioned for where he's sitting and the way he's sitting there. Plus, you remember Rob's post saying that the one without the soldier there was a shop of his? There's too much there that tells me the picture with the soldier is real.
E: Google is great. Original source images here. They're from a training exercise in which the copilot rides hooked to the outside of the helicopter so a wounded soldier can use his seat.

Came across these today. I thought they were pretty cool. Never knew you could cruise on the outside of the helicopter like that. I posted the caption they came with. Hope this is the right place for em'....http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums...icon_smile.gif
"In the extreme case of a battlefield or natural disaster area rescue, the pilot or co-pilot of an AH-64 Apache will ride on the outside of the helicopter so the passenger(s) can sit inside. At Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo, Aug. 25, Soldiers practice the tricky operation. Photo by Sgt. Stephen Proctor"

FAKE.
I don't see what's so hard to believe about it.
Rob was joking. You noticed that, right?
Usually when someone does not quote the post they are responding to, I assume that they are responding to the post directly above theirs. That's the way I do it, anyway.
