(Not my model, but an attempt to import one) This is gonna be the model for my shock rifle if I could get the fucking textures and FP to work (I'm holding it in the picture). It's set up with the sniper nodes, and I gave it a ground point so I could use it for both FP and 3P, set up the gun to use Sniper animations, so I don't know what's wrong with it. >(

I've pretty much got the model for this down pretty well; now I need to mirror it, attach everything, link it, texture it, animate it...

@LDL: It's interesting. to my mind, it's not the gentle but tough handling that an elite or a spartan would use, but more the slightly wobbly a tad unfamiliar handling of a marine (or possibly a grunt).
For that reason, I like it even if that may not what you were aiming for :)

smash, why don't you try working on the forerunner textures again but only this time use the ones for the tutorial level as a refrence (it also never hurts to take a look at a bunch of halo2/3 pictures that have forerunner structures in them) i'm pretty sure if you haven't noticed, forerunner textures use anything but squares in their textures. the most common thing are the angular lines and the shapes on the floor plating that look like glyphs.
another thing about forerunner textures is 9 out of 10 times they will have some degree of symmetry (yea i know i'm not one to talk, but that's the best i could come up with)
on another side note, take the spikes off the 4-wheeler (it looks kinda dumb) and add more detailing.
nice work hyena it looks pretty close(no, i really really love the way that projectile looks)
(i'm really really getting anxious to see what that mod looks like later)
i forget, but does this board support attachments to PMs?

this render is a month old and most of the bad smoothing\inaccuracys in the back have been fixed
I am mostly posting this because I want to show people that I have improved
