Personally, I enjoy MW2 more than Black Ops. MW2 is just more fun in my opinion, even with all the profags in MW2.
The thing that pisses me off though is how nerfed the sniper rifles are. There really is no way to explain it, you would have to play it yourself to see.
They are out-gunned in every shape by assault rifles, even at long range.
Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops (NEW POLL!)
By the way, from my own knowledge, Mw2 for ps3 is now a disaster.
as anyone with a hacked ps3 can go online now.

Also being able to run BC2 on med-high settings with no lag and MW2 on high with good fps, this game lags and stutters like shit when set to even the lowest settings. Game even D/Cs me with connection interrupted on 3 different servers. Not interested unless they do some major patching.
I can now safely say that Treyarch games are badly optimized. World at War was a complete nightmare to run. Even with a 45FPS the animations looked like they were in slow motion. I almost preferred a slight stutter if I didn't have to see that. Black Ops I haven't experienced many slowdowns, but the FPS is definitely lower than it should be, especially with such an old graphics engine.
Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops (NEW POLL!)
I've been having fun in Search and Destroy. The CZ75 full auto is ridiculous, also the camera spike on more than one occasion has helped me stop some bomb plants; seriously love that thing.
Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops (NEW POLL!)
I'm still surprised how many people put Not Buying just because of MW2 or hate the CoD franchise, go rent the damn game first.
Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops (NEW POLL!)
We get it, the multiplayer is the 3rd fucking rehash of the same shit we've been playing already.
What do you guys think of the single player?

I'm not even thinking about torrenting it because it would be a waste of my unlimited bandwidth.
Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops (NEW POLL!)
Treyarch actually made a decent story even though it took about 2 levels to get to the actual good story
It would be worth your bandwidth

yes, it's just a rehash with a few new features, modes and weapons. sort of like how Halo 3's multiplayer was a rehash of Halo 2 with a few new features, modes and (NERFED) weapons.
planning on picking this up soon. I'd prefer a physical copy, which is why I haven't downloaded it from steam just yet.
Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops (NEW POLL!)
Well, the multiplayer is much the same as MW2, but the story is quite different. I don't know how far through the campaign I am currently, but so far it has been an incoherent mess of flash backs. However, the interrogation sequences transitioning to the missions is quite interesting. I hope the plot for this game will be pulled together tighter than MW2 because when I finished MW2, I was left wondering why Shepard did the things he did. I had to google the answer and many others did the same. I don't want that to be the case with this game since it will be the first time Treyarch is actually making a fictional series of events based on an actual era of history. In Call of Duty 3 and World at War, all they had to do was create a game that followed real life events and create some fictional characters to go with it. That was all. That wasn't hard to do because you already know the exact outcome. Vietnam is probably the only definite thing to go on in Black Ops, but it is not supposed to be the center of the events that unfold. Vietnam just happens to be an area that the team chose to put key characters in to...make the game more varied and interesting, I guess?
