skeletons are by far my most hated mob (not counting the ghast, because thats a fucking given, ok.). i always end up getting hit a couple times before i manage to get close enough to do any damage. its the fact that they can attack from a range that i have issues with. i dont usually carry a bow with me either, but i suppose thats my fault. i never used to have issues with creepers, but now i seem to be getting blown up more. idk. zombies are not a problem, and you just have to know when to swing to knock back a spider.
Skele's are usually a problem for me when I'm either surrounded or don't have strafing room (eg caves). Otherwise you can walk around them faster than their arrows can move to hit you.
Seriously though, get a bowe and always have it in an inventory slot. they're so fucking useful and since Notch made arrows way cheaper, there's no reason not to use them.
wait what about arrows being cheaper?
The original recipe for arrows required an ingot of iron where you now put flint. You can imagine why that was changed :pQuote:
