So me and ihatetn931 setup a test server to try out 1.6.5, and we found that it is much more stable when it comes to the fps, and how smooth it runs. I recorded a video as well but did not post it because I disconnected halfway through recording, but my game stayed at 30fps(what I have fraps set to) the whole time I was recording.
There is no sound to it due to the fact that i'm an admin on a San Andreas Multiplayer server and i'm in teamspeak at the same time so it would record people talking so i don't record sound. (gotta use it to catch cheaters so i can give them the ban hammer)

Amd Athlon 64 x2 with 3 gigs of ram and a 7200 rpm Seagate 250 gig.
The server never lagged. Matter of fact we did some more tnt after this video was done and the server is still up and going.
Does this mean that if we paste in my gay city it wont crash the server now?
That's a possibility, but then again that's a lot of blocks so I wouldn't get your hopes up :D
Well the server never lagged before either (at least in 1.5). It was the clients that became overwhelmed from their rendering of the physics and explosions, causing them to time out. But, since you didn't freeze while recording that video, it definitely looks like there's an improvement.
Also, the server is now running 1.6.
If only this was around when we blew up ex's pyramid :(
Server is really laggy, my text is taking 30 seconds to a minute to appear and I can't build anything or destroy because blocks are so laggy.
It's bukkit, It's a fail server mod that's why i suggested Canary but they haven't relased a 1.6 version yet so since it's taking awhile it just means it's gonna work right and not be all buggy like bukkitQuote:
