Jul is my favorite of the new characters. It's really cool to see an elite playing the role of the prophets, but instead of being a pussy ass space pope he's just out for revenge against humanity.

He's not the hero the Elites need, but he's the hero they deserve. :downs:

Speaking of hate, Episode 9 is going to bring out a lot of hate for Palmer again. But, look at it this way, we know the writers are still portraying Halsey as the inherent good figure in all figure in all of this, even if she doesn't align with ONI (which she never really did to begin with). Still trying to figure how how a whiny bitch that can't help but lose her temper in front of every one is the second highest rank on board that ship. With stuff like that, plot is superficial. The storytellers aren't looking to tell us a story. The only thing they can do is say that A happens, so B happens, and C gets really mad about not being able to D at E.

As far Palmer being an emotional 2nd-in-command, I think it's simply the point that she's not a raised Spartan, just an elite marine who's no different than Silva or Ackerson. Emotional assholes who can't their heads out of their asses.
