COD has had saved films since at least COD2, not sure if COD1 had them... just not on the consoles.

You have to use the console to record the video and then convert it to another format to edit it. It's hard to compare it to the saved films feature seen in Halo 3/Reach or Black Ops.

Point still stands, the games did have playback, inferior as they may have been.

There are third-party applications that made playbacks much more flexible. Not official, but hey.

And Bungie had saved films way back in Marathon, so what.

I generally agree, but it is still a small hassle. Also, I read about people using the console with FRAPS to record. I don't understand how that works. Does COD4 override the record options for FRAPS? Apparently this is supposed to give you better performance while playing.

Btw you can only do 30 seconds a clip, might as well have a HD capture card.

Been playing Cod 4 lately both alone and with friends, and I gotta say it's way more fun than Blackops. Cod 4 had its flaws, the M16 RDS and M40 ACOG being foremost among them, but it's still a much better multiplayer game than any of its successors.
