its true that the American public school system is quite bad, and no matter how much money Barack Obama throws at it it won't improve until our culture starts to value education more. However that doesn't mean its a waste of time. School is a place of social development, and whether you realize or not, you do learn a lot there. Maybe you won't actually use the math, but you will most likely use the logic that is related to learning the math.
It's ok. It's meeting and talking to your friends that makes it really fun. :D

My social life at school has helped me become who I am, and without it, I probably wouldn't be as good as a person as I am now.
I have great friends there, and I really enjoy hanging out with them. Due to school, I have a reason to get up in the morning. Without it, I'd have nothing to do, and nobody to do it with. School isn't just about learning, it's about teaching you how to live life with others.
In conclusion, school is very much worth it, not a waste of time in the least bit.
