The further you explore from the spawn, the more stress is put on the server. So yes, this is basically entirely your fault. Not to mention that you seeming cause lag for everyone except yourself when you join the server.

Lol it was Kings idea.... I just decided to keep going. Just be glad I didnt render everywhere I went on the dynmap....
And actually when I join I lag too, but I'm using a clean minecraft .jar so I dont think i'm lagging the entire server... >>

It was my idea to expand the southern edge of the map a bit (because I felt our structures as well as the spawn were a bit too close to that edge), not to walk south in a straight line for miles.

If any of you are interested, I run a pretty neat server over @ http://www.odinseye.org/. Rules are a bit strict on a few things, and there aren't any hand outs, but the community we have seems to be sublime with them.
