Oh look at that. No PC icon. GG once again, Bungie.
A.) I would be surprised of Xbox 360 and PS3 weren't just plugs and if this actually released on those consoles and not the next-generation ones.
B.) It's being published by Activision, and they love multi-platform, so I expect they will do a PC version.
I thought the same thing even before I posted, but you know, need some negativity to balance it out. Activision never skips an opportunity to take money from people. However, Bungie is supposedly just a big name in Activision right now and not controlled by them? I can't remember and I sure as shit am not going through the contracts to find out.
Could be neat.
Looks very, very interesting.
Hey, assuming this game is going to be an MMO, wouldn't this be Bungie's first leap into that genre? I wonder what brilliant new methods of gameplay they will bring with them this time.
I mean, they've gone way off the board before with different genres in the past. Myth was an RTS that used the advantage of terrain (minus a lot of the standart RTS BS). Marathon was a Doom-style shooter with verticality. Halo was an FPS that worked for the console.
They always seemed to bring something cool to the forefront every time the delved into a new challenge. What do you think they'll do this time (still assuming Destiny is an MMO)?
Most of that is artwork created by an external company, not Bungie. Bungie hasn't confirmed what in this leak is legit and what isn't. Read the article.
Also, as I recall from their agreement with AV, AV has the power to hire a non-Bungie based team to do ports. And it was also confirmed in that same document that their next game would be on the 360, and PS3 if Bungie thought they could swing it. The sequel will be for next-gen hardware.
Didn't the leaked contract say that the first game was for 360 and money was set aside for looking into a PS3 port only? Then they have an expansion then release a second game on PC as well?
Pretty sure it was/is up to Bungie whether they thought/think they can get the game PS3 ready themselves.
Still, AV has the rights to hire people to port the game(s), as I recall from the document. However, Bungie doesn't just develop a game engine for one platform, and their current tech is being developed with next-gen in mind. So if they don't finish the PS3 work themselves, I still would expect the porters to have an easy job.
