Hi there, civil engineer here.
That means I'm well educated and adjusted to making society a better place.
I disagree with rossmum's shitty posting style, he thinks his opinions are facts, and neglects actual facts when they are presented on a silver platter.
I raise yet another bottle of water to his shitty posting, it is truely the pinnacle of human communication.
Cheers rossmum! Cheers to you and your planes!

bobblehob, people who make jokes about people dying in a storm and think gay marriage is a bad thing are clearly not very intelligent and not very well-adjusted (well, to any decent society, i guess america is so fucking backwards that idiots like you might be considered well-adjusted there).
lodex, your posting is bad because your attempts at insults are really pathetic, on the level of a fifth grader at best. you aren't funny, you aren't witty, really all you seem able to do is spew shit about me liking planes (which, if you knew anything at all, you would realise is not enough of a thing to base your entire view of me around). go back to school and ask the big kids to teach you some real insults, then come back and try again.

I don't know, Marriage is pointless anyways since people (mostly Americans) are not extremely religious in this era. I don't even know if there are any financial negatives or benefits to being married. I know economically it had something to do with money, but I seemed to forget.
I don't see any problem with gay marriage other than the opinions about the gays "converting" our next generation children into gays. Who is to say that marriage would even be needed for such a thing to happen? If people are complaining because it would mean that humanity will go extinct, then I will disagree, if anything it will help lower or even stabilize our population.

1. Ahh, I see you are resorting to super serious insults again, gj bro. Considering the joke was about the differences between that storm and the massive ones we get here in Florida, nothing more, nothing less. If you want to take it so seriously and assume that I am making light of people dying, then go right ahead. You are fucking daft if you do.
2. You do it a hell of a lot more often then I do, in fact one recent one that comes to mind is that people should lose their jobs because you don't agree with the art style they chose for a video game. Or how about this one. "we can only hope that one day, csa flags will be like crosses upon the doors of those who will be hauled out and shot" which you later revised to "those who willingly buy or construct csa flags should be shot". Either you didn't grow, or the idea of killing doesn't really bother you because you don't seem to have any trouble with these people being killed.
3. Once again, I never said it shouldn't happen, or that it is wrong or bad, but just a compromise to placate both sides, because at this point its not going to change otherwise. You once again take what I said and inject your own interpretation and present it as a fact.

the intent makes no fucking difference if you are making light of a storm while it is busy killing people. do you make jokes about car crashes the same day someone you know dies in one? if not, then i don't know how you think this is okay. if so, well, you have problems right there.

ah yes, nice one example of where i was clearly not being serious and deliberately trying to rile up all the idiots with csa flags on their walls showing how proud they are of their slaveowner ancestors. regardless it was a pretty stupid thing to say and i do regret it, i could've come up with a much better way of getting a reaction without having to stoop to that low level. at least i am willing to admit when i am wrong, and not continue to make shitty irrelevant excuses and pretend it's okay because IT WAS TOTALLY A JOKE, YOU GUYS.
as for 343i, considering it was a studio put together with the sole purpose of milking halo, i stand by my statement. halo 4 is a bastardisation of the original series and i would rather see those people working on something else, preferably not sci-fi oriented since their art team have no idea what the fuck they are doing there. maybe after working on some other games they would learn?

1. I could find other examples if I really gave a shit, the intent was to point out that you are being a bit of a hypocrite, and as far as 343i is concerned, its just another example where your extreme opinion of something subjective is just ridiculous. Regardless of how much you disagree with their designs, they don't deserve to lose their jobs. Regardless of how serious or not the intent of your post was.

i am not a fan of this line of thinking because it is basically what leads to people who can't draw being told their art is good and special, so they become trapped drawing shitty pictures instead of developing into the truly talented artists they could be
basically i'm talking about deviantart user type stuff here, i consider halo 4's art to be a little different in that they have the technical aspect down but the style itself is just so completely forgettable it won't get them anywhere in life

Ever heard of "dark humor"?
Some people joke about bad things as a way to cope with it. Others cry and moan about it.

Lumoria was an easy project, just time consuming due to lack of resources. We are amongst the only people in the community who have finished something decent as well. All the rest are try-hard failures, you included warlord LOL.
As for the future, you'd be surprised and probably somewhat freightened by what we are working on nowadays. However what you state as our current project, regardless of your source, is completely inacurate on all fronts. Dare I say horribly wrong.
Also warlord is incapable of grasping the actual concept of dark humor. Therefore he is a cocky britt who only drinks tea and eats biscuits.
On occasion bangers and mash are consumed.

Ah so you gave up on that idea then, realized the scale was beyond your reach.
It was only a matter of time.

Right, you realize "bangers and mash" is typically a cockney phrase, I'm not even slightly cockney, I rarely drink tea and I've got a well known history is being perfectly capable of grasping black humour.
Difference is using black humour isn't the same as literally mocking the death and suffering of people within days of the events happening.
But keep trying to grasp straws, one day you'll pass puberty and reach some sort of adulthood, with some hope you'll also become a bit more mature along with it.

Ah the age old strawmen of "you've not released anything so you haven't done anything".
I've worked on several projects actually, I was one of the first who found out how to create custom UI maps for Halo pc back in the day, worked with DECOY, Larry, Phenom and co on converting CE tags over to Halo pc mods, released several tags and models into the wild on Halomaps, helped several Cryengine groups to work on their projects.
I'm in the works with helping atleast two groups right now, I just don't bother to post about it on these forums because it's irrelevant and there's literally no point posting on Halomaps which is centered around Halo CE.
On the other hand, I've never seen either of you on Crydev actually doing anything, infact I've seen more from Zeph than you.

-We came to ask for help in knowledge in expertise on a project months ago (look at next point)
-the project has not been trashed, there is many ideas for it, it is only a matter of time and energy when it will be started fully and in what means. we did have lumoria to finish at the time, and we are people who actually finish things we start
-go drink some more tea
-thats great you've worked on several projects, which ones have been completed? completing a project as opposed to leaving a half assed project in dust is alot more respectable then the latter. and just because we don't post things we have worked on in cryengine over on some forum does not mean we have not created anything or learned anything.

successful as in it was a success within the community itself, everyone knows it's name and im sure most people would agreed its a solid project. it was also a success to me personally by being a cumulative of previous halo map making knowledge and focusing it one project. alot was learned and that is valuable to me.

by the way, *4 maps. with consistent and actually decent and recognizable gameplay. compared to most of the garbage posted on halomaps there is something to be said for projects like that, basically because there is next to none.

it doesn't matter SHIT what you've done, if you want to go that way, there's always a bigger fucking fish, and it's a stupid fucking argument to make, and you're a fucking tool for even going down that road.

Re: Oh I wish I was(n't) in Texas...
Out of curiosity Neuro, what are those 5 AAA titles? Just curious.
@Higuy: You know I said Lumoria was awesome. The Writing was good too, until Episode 2. The Dialogue was terrible and the monologue at the end was even worse. Like, talk about cheesy and that's the result. It was really bad dude, not going to lie. The gameplay was good and fun. It was a technical accomplishment given the engine. Successful? Yes. However, it's only something to brag about in the community and in the context of Halo Custom Edition successes. It's not on a next-gen engine and only goes so far to talk about your capacity as a digital artist. I know this because I'm facing the same realization. I can do most everything outside of animation that could be done a decade ago. I'm very far behind and even with Lumoria's success so are you. The point I'm making is that you have accomplished a big project, so that experience is very good. However, that's all you got with it: as far as a portfolio visually, it's a decade old.

It wasn't an argument, it was a statement and fact. What ive done matters to me, and knowing that what I did with my time spent satisfied myself and others that experienced it is good enough for me.
@darkhalo: Barbie Adventure Time pt2
Also, for a portfolio I don't plan on my focus at all on being art. Even though I did the art in it, that was not my focus. It's level design that was the main focus throughout the entire project, everything else was simply extra knowledge that we learned in creating something around that design.
