He was using a hologram. What you see in the sheath is just a hologram, not the real thing.

HAH, love that shot ellis. I titled that Ranger elite: "Your heresy will stay your feet..."

The way he was pointing the plasma rifle at me just seemed like he was confronting a heretic on the bridge of the ship.

Thanks man, and yeah I definitely can see that in the shot. :D I've got a sweet clip on my file share of me jumping off the ledge on Paradiso's mountain and onto a tank only to destroy it with a grenade. :D Felt pretty good actually.
