I've worked on several projects actually, I was one of the first who found out how to create custom UI maps for Halo pc back in the day, worked with DECOY, Larry, Phenom and co on converting CE tags over to Halo pc mods, released several tags and models into the wild on Halomaps, helped several Cryengine groups to work on their projects.
I'm in the works with helping atleast two groups right now, I just don't bother to post about it on these forums because it's irrelevant and there's literally no point posting on Halomaps which is centered around Halo CE.

So you converted a bunch of tags and made a UI, fuckin sick man. I don't know where you keep spewing this cryengine bullshit out of, but our next project is NOT a cryengine project. You don't know what engine we are using, you don't know what type of game we are working on, you don't know WHO is working on it. But very funny that you keep trying to belittle us, based off of that finger of yours which you so heroicly wave in the wind.

On the other hand, I've never seen either of you on Crydev actually doing anything, infact I've seen more from Zeph than you.

As far as I'm aware, you're an artist. A professional artist who makes a living out of it. For who knows how long already.

We? We managed to create a campaign worthy experience with an incredibly small team. Old engine? Perhaps. But it's a starting point for people who have only done game design as a hobby so far in their lives. Everyone has different backgrounds, every team has different resources and goals. Using those resources well, and achieving those goals, is what matters. A triple AAA team will work on triple AAA games. A team of three + contributors will logically work on a smaller scale with less time. I believe our little old fucking map in the decade-old game is something you don't see much people with the same resources and time achieve. I believe it shows skill and promise for the future.

I believe indie games will play a much larger role in the future. With lots of AAA games going the wrong way.

Also, I love Ubisoft. Most of all the ghost recon series. Tell the lads I said "great job".
And warlord is a bit of a cunt. But I'm sure deep down on the inside he's a great fella with whom one could consume a cup of hot lemon tea and biscuits whilst having a good laugh about the local weather.

Ah yes, this was why I had left this "community".
It's filled with people like warlord, childish boys who act like they have a status, try to put people down for no reason, and overall just act like know-it-alls. When they are faced with their own flaws, they just ignore it.

When one tries to engage in a real discussion, in this case about dark humour, you suddenly, for absolutely no reason, start acting like an ass. You still haven't clarified why you acted like such a cocky retard.

Anyways, I've wasted enough time talking to the brick wall egos on this forum. You can't hold a serious argument with them, and they're oblivious to when you put them in their place with very clear, well argumented facts.

Due to Darwinism, the forum was once a loving and peaceful community filled with enlightened artist and human beings. But one day they had to adapt to the changing environment. This changing environment was the introduction of the Off-Topic/Debate section. This forum has no serious future, and it hasn't had any particular reason to frequent it in ages.
The reason is very simple: hostile cunts who start arguments for no reason. This leads to normally nice people, replying to the cunts in a similar way. Then you get a shitty thread, and by extension, a shitty community.

I suggest the admin repurposes this bandwith for something useful.
Perhaps a strict distinction could be made in just a few simple categories. Eg:
- Game Programming
- Game Art
- Level Design
- General Game Design

No off-topic threads, the afore mentioned "hostile cunts" will ruin the community and overall friendly atmosphere, just to stroke their egos.

My 2 cents. Hopefully this forum can be turned around drastically into a nice place to visit. And the "hostile cunts" who actually start the crap, eg Warlord, Rossmum, and I'm sure there's plenty more, should all be IP banned from this new, nice place. I mean really, they've made this place worse than halomaps' current condition.
