You know what, I'm tired of shit this. Every time I come to this thread, I see some idiot hating on chains work, and for stupid reasons that have no grounding. Chains shouldnt have to defend his art.

I dont mean to derail the thread chains, but seriously some things need to be said.

Care to define what "good" is? Firstly thats your opinion, which quite frankly sucks balls, but thats besides the point. Art isnt only about pretty paintings, its also about making bold statements, making people think. Art is a hugely broad subject, there are tons of different styles. You however, seem to think there is only one, go look at some of the best art in the world please.

I'm not going to lie, Chains hasnt mastered perspective yet yes, however how do you think he should improve? Just think about it? No, he needs to practice, perhaps educate himself about art fundamentals, but the most important thing is practicing and to keep trying.

You don't read what con posts do you? He said not to continue this. So im not. But really, you know chains is doing it wrong. He was told how to correct his work. There was no need for him to jump on my work to defend himself.

So I got 3 hours of work done, obviously his is nothing compared to josh's lion reference picture paintover painting.
Plan to do the arms and legs tomorrow, maybe the arms later tonight.

I have to skill to paint in whatever style I want as said, it is not because I do not know how to do it right, it is because I want to do it my own fucking way in my own fucking style. Fuck.

edit- need to fix perspective on the rib cage tubes, going to add a double joint on legs, make forearms longer.

This is nice. The neck region lacks some definition, but the concept overall (at the moment all I see is the head and shoulders) looks good.

Arms are a bit long, even though it's 'alien'. Normal proportions the wrists would be near or right next to the waist.
