I chuckled and instantly hated myself for it.

Hence the funny. My parents had no clue what to think of it.I found it both hilarious and terrible at the same time, making it all the more funny. Like that old "in soviet Russia bomb disarms you" screencap that was here a while back.

It isn't true. The reason Missingno evolves into Kangaskhan is due to its index number in the game's programming. Missingno can also evolve into Rhydon because of this.
