What can I improve on the SMG anis in general? I was planning on tuning up animations today.
I actually like most of 'em, particularly the melee (which is sexier than all the rest) but as stated previously, the hand/finger placement when MC replaces the magazine is different and strange. Just toy around with that a bit.
Also more kickback.

Well it looks to me like it is the exact same anims set that doan claims to have made for h3mt (the smg), and that in its self makes me question the quality. The melee looks like it has basically no force. Look at the elite smg melee in halo 2 and 3. thats how a one handed melee should be done with the smg. The hand and finger positioning on the reload was just terrible.
No. Goddamn why does everyone say that the AR and SMG animations are the ones doan made for h3mt? They aren't. The melee is like the one with the elite in halo 2 and halo 3 and yes, I am working on the reload.
If it were "like the elite one from halo 2 and halo 3" I wouldn't have told you to look at those and compare. Yours looks really shallow and weak.
Edit: after a somewhat closer comparison, yes your anims are slightly different than h3mt's.
The SMG anims look a bit too snappy. Try making them smoother, but not so smooth that he looks somewhat robotic.
This seems pretty interesting, and when I first saw your goal for the mod, I didn't think "CMT", I thought "this seems quite interesting, can't wait to see what will come out of this". This looks quite nice at the moment, though it could use a bit of work in most aspects, probably because it's early enough in development.
