Yeah.. They probably don't know about the whole CMT Sp-v2 fanboy thing. CAD edit the description on youtube for that vid, its mean to show something like that to people and they think that CMT is still goin to release sp-v2 soon. (i heard rumours a long time ago that is was due for like spring, summer 2008 maybe?). So just to be nice to the 'don't knows' (what else should I call em).
Youtube is FULL of idiots. It sometimes frustrates me so much that I just blurt out threats to people.

Terminal would be cool with the train, but it's a level with the sword, which is really obnoxious sometimes. Turf, eh, it's up to you, I think someone else was working on it. Zanzibar is the best pick right now.
I remember seeing that clip (which shows that the map is under way), and I've been waiting for some kind of update on it. If you all can get the Wraith as true to the original H2 version, I'm gonna be cleaning out the hosting servers so fast. I <3 my big brutal purple tank, and everyone hates me whenever I use it. I've gotten Overkills (25 killing streak) with that thing before. CAD, CV, and SS, make my dream of HCE Terminal come true please!

There were pictures of terminal up before. The reason there wasn't anymore updates was because we kind of gave up on it. The bsp overloaded because it had too many polygons, and we didn't know a good portaller to help us out. I just finished writing a program, with the help of Choking, that extracts the portals from Halo 2 maps, which saves a lot of work, and will make the maps run smoother.
Another thing I have been working on is instanced geometry placement and rotation. Before all of it had to be placed by hand, which was really hard at times. With Choking's help, and also Shade45's, I was able to get rotations to work for them. All of this means, higher quality conversions.
Hmm, pretty nice. Needs more tapatio sauce, though...
It doesn't seem that Terminal has changed from the build I played.
Because we haven't worked on it in like a year. We do plan to redo it.
Ya know what that just reminded me of? The times where DocOctavius(forgot how to spell) made the map "c3ll" and it was all about who killed who first with the energy sword.

Woohoo! A new Relic! That's one of my favorite maps in Halo 2 but pretty much all of the remakes suck.

I agree, I want the Campaign first, because when I shoot someone, they get hit, no 'aim aheads.' I really think people are fine with PB2, but we still look forward to some new maps.

It's going to have more than just Halo 2 things; which you would know if you payed attention.
Personally, I would rather wait for both to come out at the same time.
It's not much of a preference, but its mainly to accommodate the different kinds of people.

Just the fact that they use a tripmine makes it obvious that this isn't a halo 2 mod. I believe that zteam does what they want, and isn't sticking to any restricted content.

Is it the fact that there actually is a clip in the gun at the beginning of the animation, as compared to bungie's where it disappears and then MC pulls it out of his ass?

I personally don't think I would load a gun like that, (when you take the clip out his hands twisted the right way) the way he puts the clip back in seems awkward to me... the fingers going over the gun like that and all, I would normally expect to keep my hand on the clip the same way it was when taking the empty clip out... idk, I haven't loaded much of anything other then a pistol though, not to mention how far back the clip is in this particular gun might make it more comfortable to load that way...
Other then that I have no idea whats so special about it.
EDIT: Looking at it again yeah, I have to say if I were actually holding a gun like this and reloading it, my hand wouldn't naturally want to twist like that when loading the new clip.

I think CAD learned to rip animations from halo 2, and felt like rendering at a high fov for no apparent reason
MC learned the way of the force and can move things on the gun without touching them? :D
Because that little ball thing at the top...(sorry barely know anything about guns)...moves without MC even touching it. :v

Even ripping animations now? Frankly I think that bungie's halo2 animations were inferior. I liked the custom battle rifle animations I saw in a video showing the bubble shield, so please tell me your not going to start using bungies just because they're bungies? That really doesn't make them good. Now I'm sure you can find a way to use this tool to do other things than rip gross FP animations so I'm interested to see how this develops. + rep

I think the reloading with the hand looks awkward lol, I am by no means good at animating though, I don't think I don't do it a lot, but the hand position for putting the clip back in looks twisted the wrong way haha... idk w/e.
Am I really the only one who thinks this.
EDIT: meh after pondering over it again I guess it works... if your right handed, I'm lefty maybe why it seemed awkward.
The standard animation for Halo 2 has no differences between reload and reload_empty. Neither of them has him moving the bolt.
Oh, and CAD, is the model a high-res model?
No; every asset you see in that gif was taken straight from Halo 2.
Does that mean its all 1/10000th the size of halo 1 then?

It's called a slide release. When a magazine loaded weapon runs out of cartridges, the slide typically stays back after the round is fired. In this case, the bolt moves back to locked position. This is so when you load a fresh magazine, you dont have to pull the bolt back to load a fresh cartridge into the chamber. Instead, all you have to do is release the bolt and it will automatically push a new round in. For some weapons, this can be done with the push of a button/lever while for others you might need to release it manually. I'd have to imagine in the future, it might even be done automatically after loading a fresh magazine. Who knows? I mean, it is fictional after all.
