Wait, there won't be a new texture for those buildings? It looks kinda weird at the moment IMO. Rest looks awesome.
It looks like you've got some sort of semi-transparent collision geometry here or something-
whatever it is, my first reaction was that it was fog, and I liked it. If you were to add a bunch of wires and telephone poles and signs and other crap cluttering up the area directly above the roads and then gave it thick haze like that, well fuck I just realized it wouldn't look very much at all like NMC but it would still be fucking awesome.

Actually, that semi-transparent thing is supposed to be like a forcefield, so yea, you're pretty much right.
I think i'll do the wire thing to some extent--no telephone poles though.
