Ohhhh no after 5+ years of listening to songs involuntarily about wanting tits, drinking beer, and cliche pop-rock bullshit that only high-schoolers or frats/sorority girls like you'll learn that Nickelback is pretty shitty compared to a lot of stuff out there. Their biggest problem is that they milk the hell out their music and subject matter, never varying it up or doing anything new. At least, from my experience listening to their music (the society I've lived in for 5 years adores that shit) for 5+ years. I feel an accurate comparison for Nickelback would be to call them the Call of Duty of today's music.Quote:

At least they're still playing physical instruments and have the talent to do so, as opposed to using computers like everyone else does now-a-days.
And for the record I like them. Not their sex/drugs songs but songs like Lullaby, If Today Was Your Last Day, and their more meaningful songs like that. Plus I'm a huge post-grunge/rock fan (Shinedown, Breaking Benjamin, Foo Fighters, stuff like that as well).

Nickelback, Shinedown, Seether, 3 Days Grace, and any other shitty band that sounds like them are total shit. Foo Fighters and Breaking Benjamin are good, especially Foo Fighters. However, Nickleback has really just gotten worse over the years in my opinion.
I listen to a bunch of random shit though, so I guess musical taste for me is more picky. While some people are Classic Rock, Alternative, Rap, Country, et cetera, I don't stick with any particular genre.
Yeah older Nickelback is good, but I don't entirely mind the new stuff. Like I said though, I avoid the sex/drugs bullshit songs (which are most, but that still leaves a few good ones left).
