Infinity Ward obviously has no intention of bringing dedicated servers to the game. If they did, they would have included it as an alternative to matchmaking from the start. If they rethought their stupidity, they would have swallowed their pride and stated right there that they were adding dedicated server back. But why?
If they said they were adding back dedicated servers, everyone will shut up. Hell, it's what they want. But if they said that and they didn't deliver, then they'd be caught in a very very bad lie. If they said they were never going to put dedicated servers in, they would have just put salt on the wound and lost even those people buying the game hoping it might be added in the future, since all hope would be lost. So, they said the equivalent of "maybe". The complaining can't get any worse than it is now, and they are still able to screw over their customers!

Activision tracks down leaker of Modern Warfare 2, leading to arrest of 18-year-old.
Activision tracks down leaker of Modern Warfare 2, leading to arrest of 18-year-old.

IPCybercrime found a post by a user on an Xbox piracy forum asking people to donate money so he could buy one of the Craigslisted bundles, rip the game, and distribute it online. Investigators cross-referenced the user's e-mail address with a Facebook account which had his cell phone number listed, and determined his identity to be 18-year-old Christian Del Amo. They turned the information over to the Miami-Dade police department, who arranged to purchase a pirated copy of the game and bust the hacker in the process.
Police obtained the game from a "runner," who led them back to Del Amo. The 18-year old was arrested yesterday, and is currently incarcerated in Miami's Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. IPCybercrime told VentureBeat that Del Amo was set up to sell thousands of illegal copies of Modern Warfare 2.

While an arrest was made in the case, it didn't come quick enough to prevent piracy of the game. Illegal copies of Modern Warfare 2 have been appearing on peer-to-peer file-sharing services since earlier this week, potentially costing publisher Activision thousands of lost sales.

Good. I hope they lose a lot of sales because of their betrayal to PC gamers.
P.S. 2500th post!

Go Del Amo! You are an hero!
Re: The Upcoming CoD: MW2
They deserve the thousands of lost sales. IW is is ripping off the gaming community with a shitty product surrounded by hype. There's probably going to be way more than just the few thousand that pirated it who will buy the game and regret it, and IW is going to make off with their money.
As far as I am concerned with the game, IW could not make a single sale and every single copy could be pirated and it still wouldn't be enough.
Re: The Upcoming CoD: MW2
I think the game is still going to be fun. Ill let you know when I play Tuesday.
Re: The Upcoming CoD: MW2
I lol'd at the leaker when it was posted on facebook. I want to see nobody in this community buy the PC version since it sucks like hell, and hope they get the console ones.
I wonder how many people bought the Prestige Edition in modacity for throwing out $150 for NVG's, paper, metal, cardboard and a disk. Hope the NVG's work
Re: The Upcoming CoD: MW2
Buying the console version over the PC solves nothing. That just causes more damage. And the game is shit. It's not worth any version.
